The Grafityp premises in Houthalen (Belgium)

Grafityp's roots are to be found in Amsterdam (Holland), where Stanserij Holland was founded back in 1945. As premises soon became too small in Amsterdam, the company moved to Houthalen (Belgium) in 1969, and its name was changed into GRAFITYP Leaders in Lettersystems N.V. In 1984, Grafityp Leaders in Lettersystems was the first company to launch a cutting system completely steered by PC (named CSR : Computerized Signmaking Robot).

From 1988 on, Grafityp started producing and distributing more and more self adhesive films (Grafitack), a branch for which the new Grafityp division GRAFITYP Selfadhesive Products would take responsibility. At the start of 1996, Grafityp launched their high-quality cast films named GRAFICAST. By the end of 1997, sales of self adhesive films had grown to such an extent that all plotter and software activities had to be stopped. Grafityp decided to fully concentrate on the self-adhesives market, and launched a completely new series of Grafiprint digital printing media and laminates.

Today, Grafityp can boast more than 50 years of outstanding service to the sign industry. more than 40,000 m² of modern production facilities (including 4 coating lines and 1 casting line) on 65,000 m² of premises allow us to strive for perfection, which is also laid down in our ISO-9001 quality label.
