Wrapping a repainted car.
Wait for at least 2 to 3 weeks before applying any vinyl on a repainted car. The solvents need to have evaporated completely from the paint.
Before cleaning the complete car, check on a small surface whether the paint is becoming softer when using the cleaning agent. You can check this with the cleaning cloth. You shouldn't feel any resistance while cleaning the surface. If you do feel any resistance, please try using another cleaning agent. Also make sure the cleaning agent doesn't leave behind any residue (lower adhesive strength).
Additional remark:
If the paint comes off its surface when repositioning the vinyl, this means that the car was not well sanded before repainting it. |
