How Grafityp works towards a sustainable future

Results are not the only thing important at Grafityp, but also the way in which we achieve them. The last climate conference in Glasgow made it clear once again how important a greener, more sustainable world is. This is a work in process in which we have already taken important steps and will take many more.
More and more companies are striving for sustainability. We as Grafityp are 100% behind this and want to help and support these companies to achieve their goal, also in their visual communication.
Sustainability policy
We drew up a sustainability policy in which the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations are the starting point and compass. A policy based on three pillars: People, Planet and Profit. With this policy, we set ourselves ambitious targets for 2030. Targets that we periodically evaluate and improve where necessary.
We have already decided that from now on we will only buy electric company cars and reduce our CO2 emissions by 40%. We have already invested heavily in ecological PVC-free products in recent years and hope to continue to grow in this area.
At the beginning of this year, we invested in our own solar panel park on our company buildings and an upgrade of the high-voltage electrical installation.
In addition, together with our suppliers, we continue to search for environmentally friendly products and techniques such as adhesives and drying methods. We still have a way to go, but can certainly be proud of the road we have already travelled. Keep innovating is the message.
Sustainable products
We have been manufacturing pvc-free self-adhesive films for some time, we continue to innovate in our sustainable range. We name our PVC-free products with the name “GEF“. This stands for “Grafityp Ecological Films.”
Our goal is to expand our pvc-free range of materials to the extent that our customers can choose from white, grey, and transparent adhesives that are removable, permanent, or semi-permanent.
We already offer a wide range of pvc-free products:
- Sign making films: films from which you can cut letters and shapes
- Print media: Printable films
- Laminates: these are applied over the film to protect it
- Wrapping film: film used to cover cars, etc.
Why pvc-free?
PVC is not a healthy plastic. That’s why we went in search of a healthier and better alternative for people and the environment. So here at Grafityp we decided to also offer PVC-free products.
What is the quality difference between PVC and PVC-free films?
None at all. As an end user of our PVC-free films, you will not see any difference. They are the same in application, quality and longevity. The only difference is that they are better for the environment because they do not contain PVC.
