Application tips from wrap specialist Rudi
What is the best way to apply these ultra-thin, flexible films? Our in-house wrap specialist shares tips & tricks, so you always get the best result.
Tip 1: Cutting
Use a knife recommended for cutting cast films and always cut a frame around the text or logo.
Tip 2: Remove the film
Remove unnecessary film around a text or logo. Start in the top right or bottom right corner of your cut text or logo. At an angle of 30°, pull away the excess film with short movements.
Tip 3: Apply the film
Clean and degrease the surface thoroughly before applying the film dry.
Remove the application paper or tape only after the film has been pressed firmly with your squeegee.
Extra tip: Use a hard plastic squeegee to apply the Graficast Supercast film, as it allows you to apply good pressure. A felt squeegee is also an option. Just make sure you leave the application paper or tape on the vinyl until the end. This prevents the squeegee from scratching the vinyl.
